I recently had to have unexpected oral surgery. WSF helped me pay a good portion of my out of pocket expenses. This allowed me to have lower monthly payments to cover the remaining cost of the surgery. Because of WSF, I feel more in control of my finances.
A couple months ago, someone hit my car while it was parked and didn't leave a note. Not only was I on the hook for the damages, I had to miss work to take care of the repairs. WSF came through just in time and helped me cover my insurance deductible for the car repairs.
I'm a freelancer, so my income can be delayed and sometimes unsteady. Last month, a few of my clients’ payments were late and I almost fell behind on rent and utilities while I waited for the payments to come in. Luckily, I was able to access WSF funds, which allowed me to pay my rent and bills on time.
The pipes in my house burst last winter, so I suddenly had to deal with flooding at home while I was trying to take care of holiday expenses. WSF helped me cover the costs that insurance didn’t cover, which allowed me to focus on enjoying the holidays with my family.
My father, who lives in the Dominican Republic, was diagnosed with stage four cancer several months ago. I scrambled to work as much as possible, but still didn't earn enough money to pay for a plane ticket on top of my regular bills. After receiving WSF funds, I was able to fly home and join my family in taking care of my father.
My partner lost their job several months ago. Even though I worked extra hours to make up for lost income, we still fell behind on bills. The funds we received from WSF allowed us to catch up on overdue bills and feel more confident about the future.
